Main function of fasting is to detox your body (physical, mental, and spiritual).

Rebuild the immune systems
Fasting forces the body to use stores of glucose and fat but also breaks down a significant portion of white blood cells.
Scientists at the University of Southern California suggest that each cycle of fasting induces stem cells to produce new white blood cells which fight off infection.
This is beneficial for people suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy.
It could also help the elderly whose immune system becomes less effective as they age, to fight off even common diseases.
Prof Valter Longo, Professor of Gerontology and the Biological Sciences at the University of California says fasting gives the signal to stem cells to go ahead and begin proliferating and rebuild the entire immune system.

One of our friends whose hairs were all white as he started the 21-day fasting.
He did it for 2 years.
Last time, we saw him the color of his hairs were darker.
Whenever you feel stuck internally, I strongly suggest you to take fasting.
Why? Clarity is the word.
After fasting, I feel so clear and light in my mind and soul.
It is just a very good feeling.

Many miracles and healing miracles can’t happen without prayers with fastings.
Since fasting can clear our mind and soul, that increase your capacity to hear the voices of God or get the revelation from Divine.
Praying and fasting will please the Lord so much that He will honor who does that.
How to ensure success in Fasting
Have a plan
Like anything, fasting is destined to be fail without a plan.
Fasting looks simple but it is not easy.
Fasting is against one of greatest human desires – food.
In the process of fasting, you become weaker and weaker because of no consumption of food,
any physical task must be scheduled after the completion of fasting.
Don’t go from no fasting to attempting a weeklong. Start with one meal; maybe fast one meal a week for several weeks.
Then try two meals, and work your way up to a daylong fast.
Perhaps eventually try a two-day juice fast.
Plan what you’ll do during lunches and dinners.
If you know you have very weak will power, you can’t join others for lunches or dinners.
Are you going to read, take a walk, listen to music, praying, or meditate?
Steps of Fasting for 21 days
Why 21 days?
It needs 21 days to form a habit and Daniel’s fasting took 21 days in the Bible.
Prepare vegetable soup for Day 1; any combinations will be fine.
Eliminate the sugar drinks in small step about 25% less.
If you drink 2 cups of soda each day, drink one and half cups instead.
Drink ½ cup of water on first hour and drink ½ cup of warm soup next hour.
Alternate between ½ cup of water and ½ cup of soup each hour in this pattern.
Finish the ½ cup of water or soup within 5 min.
Cut the portion of each meal into half.
Substitute the deleted portion with salad and bean (avoid to use the heavy cream dressing).
Prepare vegetable soup for Day 2; any combination will be fine.
Eliminated another 25% the sugar drink consumption.
If you drink 2 cups of soda a day, drink 1 cup instead
Drink 1 cup water or vegetable soup every hour (finish it within 10 min or so)
For meal, only salad with bean.
Choose light breakfast.
Prepare vegetable soup; any combination will be fine for Day 3.
Breakfast: make apple juice (or other fruit) whose concentration is only 25%.
If you don’t have time to make the juice, you can chew on the apple, stuck out the juice in your mouth, and split out the pulp.
Why juice? because the brain needs carbohydrate to function.
Drink one cup of water or warm soup each hour within 5-10 mins
(this is the secret to reduce the hunger feeling.)
If you are pre-diabetic, bring along a piece of dark chocolate,
When you feel hungry, take one or two bites on it.
If chocolate is not available, take Jell-O instead.
It is fine to substitute with dilute warm tea and only one cup of coffee but limit water to 4 cup only.
I don’t prefer theory of 8 cups of water (as experts’ suggestions) because too much nutrients are removed together with toxins.
I prefer 4 cups of water and 4 or more cups of soup because the body will be supplied with nutrients.
Stay away from lemon juice, orange juice, or other strong acidic juice.
For lunch, if you need to go to lunch with others, you can order non creamy soup.
Don’t consume any ingredient inside.
Stay away from the dinner table in the dinner time, if you can’t resist the temptation.
Prepare vegetable soup for Day 4
Day 4 to day 7
Repeat all in Day 3.
These few days are the hardest days in the process.
During this period, you can observe the changes in your body:
You are feeling colder.
You have bad headache.
Your peep changes from yellow to colorless, then yellow again
Your tongue is covered with white coating.
Bad breath will be detected.
All that mean, the detoxification is happening.
Day 8 to day 21
After day 7, hungry feeling is not that strong anymore.
Here you have 2 options:
First option: You think your body can’t tolerate anymore.
Day 8 Take a small salad in each meal but continue with the same pattern of water intake.
Day 9 Increase the quantity of bean and vegetable in the salad with the same pattern of water intake.
Day 10-21. Continue salad with water, soup, tea or coffee.
Second option; You take the challenge one more day, two more days, or until day 18 (listen to your body, and don’t force yourself to continue).
Day 19 Take a small salad in each meal but continue with the same pattern of water intake.
Day 20 Increase the quantity of bean and vegetable in the salad with the same pattern of water intake.
Day 21 Continue salad with water, soup, tea or coffee.
Day 22 Add small amount of meal and bread each day.
Day 23 Increase 2x of meal and carbohydrate on the meal
Fasting from food is not necessarily for everyone.
Some health conditions keep even the most devout from the traditional course.
However, fasting is not limited to abstain from food.
Fasting from something other than food: TV, alcohol, drugs, computer, games etc.
Fasting is not easy; is counter-culture activities.
Part of it may be that we live in a society in which food is so ubiquitous that we eat not only when we don’t need to, but sometimes even when we don’t want to.
We eat to share a meal with others, to build or grow relationships, or just as a distraction from responsibility.
And of course, there are our own cravings and aches for comfort that keep us from the discomfort of fasting.
Benefit of fasting is far too good for your health to skip.
Scientists confirm that even fasting for 3 days will bring our health to next level.
